SHALON Foundation understands that a healthy childhood is the cornerstone of a healthy nation. Our “Healthy Childhood, Healthy India” initiative is dedicated to improving the well-being of underprivileged children through a holistic approach that addresses various factors influencing their health.

Our Approach:

We believe in a multi-faceted strategy to ensure children’s health:

  1. Access to Healthcare: Ensuring affordable and quality healthcare services, including preventive care, immunizations, and treatment for common illnesses and chronic conditions.
  2. Nutrition Programs: Addressing malnutrition and food insecurity through school meal programs, nutritional supplements, and education on healthy eating habits.
  3. Clean Water and Sanitation: Promoting access to clean water and sanitation facilities to prevent waterborne diseases and improve hygiene.
  4. Health Education: Empowering children and families with knowledge about preventive healthcare practices, hygiene, nutrition, and reproductive health.
  5. Regular Health Check-ups: Conducting regular screenings to identify and address health issues early.
  6. Immunization Campaigns: Organizing campaigns to ensure children receive essential vaccinations.
  7. Mental Health Support: Providing services to address psychosocial issues, trauma, and stressors affecting children’s well-being.
  8. Physical Activity Programs: Encouraging healthy lifestyles through physical activity and sports.

Our Impact:

Over the past 6 years, we have screened more than 10,000 children, identifying and providing necessary interventions for over 3,000 children in need of nutritional or medical support. These interventions have led to significant improvements in their health and educational outcomes.
